The Chairman of Ringim Local Government Area in Jigawa State Hon.Badamasi Garba has described the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election conducted in the area as a demonstration of the confidence party members have in his leadership.

The council chairman, who also served as a member of the primary election committee, stated this on Saturday shortly after the conclusion of the exercise in Ringim.

According to the results announced by the presiding officer, Dr. Surajo Musa, President Tinubu secured all votes cast across the ten wards of the local government, polling 15,670 votes to defeat his opponent, Dr. Sternly Osipo, who scored zero vote.

The chairman commended APC members in the area for the peaceful and orderly conduct of the exercise, noting that the large turnout reflected the party’s unity and commitment ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He said the direct primary election was conducted in the presence of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and other party stakeholders.

“This election is a clear indication that the people of Ringim and Jigawa State have confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu and are ready to support him again in the 2027 presidential election,” he said.

The chairman further assured that the pledge made by Governor Umar Namadi to deliver about two million votes for President Tinubu in the 2027 election would be achieved through continued mobilization and grassroots support across the state.
