The Jigawa State House of Assembly has commended Governor Umar Namadi’s leadership, attributing the state’s stability and developmental progress to his administration.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, gave the commendation in a statement issued on behalf of lawmakers, the Assembly Service Commission, and staff of the legislature to mark the governor’s 65th birthday.
Dangyatin described the milestone as not only a personal achievement but also an opportunity to reflect on what he termed impactful governance in the state.
He noted that under Namadi’s leadership, Jigawa has recorded significant progress through the implementation of the administration’s 12-point agenda, which he said has translated into tangible projects across various constituencies.
According to the Speaker, the governor’s policies have moved beyond planning to delivering visible improvements in key sectors, positively impacting the lives of citizens, particularly at the grassroots.
“Your 12-point agenda is not just a policy document but a living promise being fulfilled through various developmental projects,” the statement read.
Dangyatin further described the governor’s leadership as visionary and people-centred, highlighting his commitment to empowering youths and supporting vulnerable groups, which he said has strengthened public confidence in government.
He added that the administration’s steady approach to governance has created an enabling environment for peace, growth, and sustained development across the state.
The Speaker also prayed for continued good health, wisdom, and strength for the governor to consolidate on the achievements recorded so far.
