The Special Assistant to the Governor of Jigawa State on New Media, Dady Ringim, has sponsored the education of a five-year-old pupil with a physical disability at Ado Sarki Islamiyya Primary School in Ringim Local Government Area.
As part of the support, Ringim donated a pair of crutches and a complete school uniform to the child, and pledged to take full responsibility for his education.
The intervention has eased the challenges the pupil previously faced in accessing education due to mobility difficulties.
According to eyewitnesses and school officials, the young pupil had found it extremely difficult to attend school regularly, but the support has now made movement easier and restored his confidence to continue his education.
Reacting over the gesture, Ringim said the initiative was driven by compassion and the belief that no child should be denied education because of disability or hardship.
He described education as a fundamental right that must be made accessible to all children, especially the most vulnerable.
He further called on members of the public to help identify other children with similar challenges within Ringim Local Government Area, assuring that efforts would be made to support them where possible.
The gesture has been widely commended by parents, teachers and community members, who described it as a practical demonstration of inclusive governance and a reflection of the Jigawa State Government’s commitment to social welfare and support for persons with disabilities.
