Police in Kano State have arrested a 25 years old Hamisu Ali a notorious drugs dealer and five others suspected thugs.
Spokesperson of the command SP. Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa confirmed the arrest in a statement issued to newsmen on Monday.

The statement Said, the arrest is part of the command efforts to combat drug trafficking and other related crimes in the State.
According to the statement ” In an operation conducted by police officers attached to Jaoji Police Division Kano, a suspected drug dealer, Hafizu Ali, of Jaoji Quarters Kano, and five suspected thugs were arrested and various illicit substances and dangerous weapons were recovered from them”
He said the operations was conducted following the guidance and directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, to all police commands and formations to implement strategic crime prevention measures aimed at dismantling criminal networks and ensuring safety of residents.
He explained that,the suspected drug dealer was found in possession of various illicit substances, including 2,070 suspected Pregabalin capsules and 23 parcels of suspected Cannabis Sativa, while Four knives, two scissors and an axe were recovered from the suspected thugs.
State Commissioner of Police however commended the officers for their commitment and dedication to duty and thanked the good people of the state for their support and cooperation.
The suspects will be charged to court upon completion of the investigations.
