The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Jigawa State Command, has received its 16th State Commandant, Muhammad Kabiru Ingawa.
This was contained in a statement signed by the command’s spokesman, ASC Badruddeen Tijjani Mahmud, and made available to newsmen.
A native of Ingawa in Katsina State, Commandant Ingawa is a seasoned officer with wide professional experience, having served in Katsina, Jigawa, Delta, Kaduna, and Nasarawa State Commands. He is returning to Jigawa, where he had previously served in various capacities before his redeployment to Kaduna. Until his latest posting, he was the State Commandant of Nasarawa State.
Ingawa holds a degree in Business Administration from Bayero University, Kano, and is a member of the Associate Corporate Institute of Administration. He has attended several seminars and workshops within and outside Nigeria, sharpening his skills in administration and security management.
He began his professional career at the Correctional Service Training School, Owerri, Imo State, and later advanced his training at the Nigerian Correctional Staff College, Kaduna. Over the years, he has earned several commendations, including the Most Punctual Staff Award at the Jigawa State Command in 2013.
According to the statement, his redeployment to Jigawa is expected to strengthen the Command’s capacity in safeguarding critical national assets, managing crises, and ensuring internal security.
Commandant Ingawa takes over from Bala Bawa Bodinga, who has been deployed to Kano State following the retirement of its former Commandant.
