Namadi Flags Off 33.5km Kaugama Road, Strengthens Citizens Engagement

Governor Malam Umar Namadi has flagged off the construction of a 33.5-kilometre Arbus–Girbobo–Garin Bukar Road in Kaugama Local Government Area.

Speaking at the event, Governor Namadi said the road project reflects his administration’s commitment to tackling critical infrastructure gaps while ensuring development priorities align with the needs of local communities.

The governor performed the groundbreaking on Sunday as part of his administration’s ongoing Gwamnati Da Jama’a (Government and the People) citizens engagement programme, which has so far reached 18 local government areas across the state.

He said , the road construction is major infrastructure project expected to boost trade, improve connectivity and ease access to essential services for thousands of residents

During the visit, the governor also commissioned a newly built residence for the Marke District Head, constructed by the Kaugama Local Government Chairman.

The citizens engagement meeting, held at Government Girls Arabic Secondary School, Kaugama, featured the presentation of a detailed compendium of the community’s needs, aimed at guiding government decisions and strengthening the bond between leaders and the people.
