The Kano State Civil Service Commission has dismissed reports that employment application forms are being sold to job seekers in the state.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Commission’s Director of Public Enlightenment, Musbahu Aminu Yakasai, described the claims as false and misleading, urging the public to disregard them.
“At no time has the Commission authorised the sale of any application forms for recruitment into the State Civil Service. This claim is entirely untrue and should be disregarded in its entirety,” Yakasai said.
He advised residents to rely only on official government platforms for credible information concerning recruitment and other commission activities, stressing that announcements are released solely through approved channels.
The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and due process in every recruitment exercise. It also warned that anyone caught defrauding job seekers in the name of the Commission would face prosecution.
“For credible and official information, the public is advised to follow government-approved communication channels or visit the Kano State Civil Service Commission office at the Audu Bako Secretariat, Kano,” the statement added.
The Commission further appealed to job seekers to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to fraudsters who exploit their aspirations.
