Jigawa Police to Begin Tinted Glass Enforcement October 2

The Jigawa State Police Command has announced that the enforcement of tinted glass regulations will officially commence on 2nd October, 2025.

This was disclosed in a press statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Lawan Shiisu Adam, and made available to DAILY POST.

According to the statement, the online registration and application for the Tinted Glass Permit is ongoing, and residents are urged to complete the process before the enforcement date.

The procedure for obtaining the permit includes:

  1. Visiting the official portal possap.gov.ng and signing up using NIN, BVN, or TIN.
  2. Creating an account and verifying it via email.
  3. Logging in to select “Tinted Glass Permit” as a service.
  4. Providing vehicle details and uploading supporting documents.
  5. Confirming details and making the required payment.
  6. Completing vehicle inspection and biometric capture at the designated NPF Intelligence Department.

SP Shiisu explained that in Jigawa State, biometric capturing (fingerprint) will take place at the State Intelligence Department (SID), Police Headquarters, Dutse.

The Command cautioned the public against patronizing unauthorized individuals who may attempt to exploit the process, urging full compliance with the directive.
