The Jigawa State Government has urged politicians and political appointees to remain committed to supporting party members at all levels, stressing that unity and strong grassroots engagement are critical to sustaining the party’s strength in the state and across the country.
Governor Umar Namadi made the call on Thursday during an empowerment programme held at the Manpower Development Institute. The event was organised by the Tinubu–Danmodi Automatic Ticket initiative under the leadership of Hon. Adamu Alhassan Indallah.
Represented by the Commissioner for Basic Education, Hon. Lawan Yunusa Danzomi, the governor charged beneficiaries of government services—including political appointees, elected officials, and contractors—to imbibe the culture of supporting others.
According to him, “Whoever has the means should support people around them—help your families, relatives, friends, and communities—so they can feel the impact of government, especially during this period of hardship and the Ramadan season.”
He explained that such efforts would help reduce pressure on government while strengthening public trust and shared responsibility.
The governor assured that the state government would continue to support individuals and groups that demonstrate genuine zeal and commitment to uplifting their people.
Governor Namadi also commended the organisers of the empowerment programme and urged beneficiaries to use the support judiciously to improve their livelihoods.
Speaking at the event, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and Chairman of the Tinubu–Danmodi 2027 Automatic Ticket initiative, Hon. Adamu Alhassan Indallah, said the empowerment exercise was designed to reward party members who worked tirelessly for the party’s success.
He disclosed that ₦30 million was distributed to over 1,000 beneficiaries as start-up capital to enable them to establish small businesses and become self-sufficient. Hon. Indallah further pledged to sustain the initiative, noting that it aligns with the 12-point agenda of Governor Umar Namadi.
