The Jigawa State Executive Council, under the leadership of His Excellency Malam Umar A. Namadi, FCA, has approved ₦75billion as proposed Supplementary Budget for the 2025 Fiscal Year.
State Commissioner of Information Youth Sports and Culture Hon.Sagir Musa Ahmad disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the state executive Council meeting on Tuesday.
He said the state Executive Council Approves the amount as 2025 Supplementary Budget Proposal for Submission to State House of Assembly
covering both the State Government and the 27 Local Government Councils.
He explained that, the supplementary appropriation arose from the additional revenue aimed at addressing emerging financial needs and strengthening priority sectors for sustainable development across the state.
He said the amount covered ₦58billion for the state while ₦17 billion for the 27 Local Government Councils, covering both recurrent and capital expenditure components.
Hon. Sagir said the supplementary budget will Enhance ongoing projects and programs across critical sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, and other developmental projects,
He said, the supplementary budget proposal will be formally submitted to the Jigawa State House of Assembly for legislative consideration and approval in accordance with constitutional provisions and budgetary procedures.
