The wife of the Jigawa State Governor, Amb. Dr. Amina Umar Namadi, has extended support to 200 orphans in Kafin Hausa Local Government Area as part of her ongoing humanitarian initiatives targeting vulnerable groups across the state.
The gesture, carried out through her foundation, Hamdan Kaseeran OVC and Women Assistance, included the distribution of school uniforms, writing materials, school bags, and 10kg bags of rice to the beneficiaries.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Amb. Dr. Amina reaffirmed her commitment to improving the lives of orphans, women, and other vulnerable members of society.
She said the initiative was part of her foundation’s effort to complement the state government’s policies on education, social welfare, and poverty reduction.
She assured that the Namadi administration would continue to prioritize the welfare of citizens through improved access to education, healthcare, and social support, adding that similar interventions would soon be extended to other local government areas.
In his remarks, the District Head of Kafin Hausa, represented by the Bulama of Kafin Hausa, commended Dr. Amina for her consistent concern and support for the poor and vulnerable across the state.
He described the gesture as timely and impactful, urging other well-meaning individuals to emulate her example.
The event was attended by the wife of the Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, the wife of the Secretary to the State Government, top government officials, community leaders, and women’s groups.
The Hamdan Kaseeran OVC and Women Assistance Foundation has been carrying out similar empowerment and welfare programs across various local government areas, focusing on orphans, widows, and low-income families in Jigawa State.
