Jigawa State Governor, Mallam Umar Namadi, FCA, has presented an Award of Excellence to Fiddausi Ringim in recognition of her service, dedication, and contributions to community development.
The award was conferred during the International Youth Day celebration held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at an event organized by the Ministry of Information, Youth, Sports and Culture under the leadership of the Commissioner, Hon. Sagir Musa Ahmad.
While presenting the award, Governor Namadi charged youths in the state to shun drug abuse, embrace discipline, and be good ambassadors of Jigawa and Nigeria. He urged them to channel their energy toward productive ventures that would uplift their communities and the nation at large.
Speaking with STANDARD TRUST NEWS shortly after receiving the award, Fiddausi, a proud daughter of Jigawa State, expressed deep appreciation to the Governor for recognising her contributions to the state.
“I am truly humbled and honored to receive this award from His Excellency. Standing before the people of my state to be recognized by our leader is not just a moment of pride but a reminder of the value of service, dedication, and community impact. This will forever remain a shining milestone in my journey,” she said.
Fiddausi through her Foundation named FIDDAUSI RINGIM has been actively supporting less privileged individuals across Jigawa through various empowerment initiatives targeting children, women, and orphans. Among her recent efforts is the employment of 1,000 people by providing them with tools such as branding machines, water pumps, paste-making machines, and sewing machines to enable them to earn a livelihood and become self-reliant.
She also commended Hon. Sagir Musa Ahmad for initiating what she called “a memorable and impactful event for the youth of Jigawa” and for his unwavering support in making the celebration remarkable.
The International Youth Day event brought together young people from across the state to celebrate achievements, inspire leadership, and promote youth empowerment.
