Governor Malam Umar Namadi has commended two indigenes of Jigawa State who distinguished themselves at the just-concluded Digital For All 2025 Challenge, a national information technology competition.
The governor, who received the awardees at the Government House in Dutse alongside members of the State Executive Council, described their achievements as a source of pride and a testament to the state’s growing talent in the digital economy.
The young innovators, led to the Government House by the Director-General of the Jigawa State Information Technology and Digital Economy Agency, are:
Ismail Ahmad Dutse, who emerged second runner-up in the Software Development track at the national level, earning a prize of ₦10 million.
Abussamad Abdullahi, who clinched second place in the Digital Marketing track at the regional level.
Governor Namadi congratulated both winners and urged them not to relent in their pursuit of knowledge and innovation.
He further encouraged them to aim higher in future competitions, assuring that the state government would continue to support initiatives that empower youths in digital technology and entrepreneurship.
He noted that Jigawa’s investment in ICT and digital skills development is yielding positive results, with more young people making their mark on national and global stages.
