Colonel Babandi Abdullahi Mago (Rtd), a House of Representatives aspirant for the Gumel, Maigatari, Gagarawa and Sule Tankarkar Federal Constituency, has called on members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to remain united and intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking to party members on Friday, Col. Mago commended ADC supporters across the constituency for their loyalty, resilience and commitment to strengthening the party’s presence at the grassroots.
He said their continued solidarity and mobilisation have contributed significantly to the party’s growing acceptance across the constituency.
The retired military officer praised members for embracing the party’s vision of credible leadership, good governance and sustainable development, noting that the expanding support base reflects increasing public confidence in the ADC.
Col. Mago also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the party’s governorship candidate in Jigawa State, Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakudu, CON, describing the governorship ambition as a collective effort aimed at providing accountable and people-centred leadership for the state.
He urged party faithful to remain disciplined, united and focused, stressing that sustained grassroots engagement and mobilisation would be crucial to the party’s success at the polls.
The House of Representatives hopeful pledged to provide effective representation if elected, promising to pursue legislation that promotes infrastructure development, youth and women empowerment, improved public services and policies that would enhance the welfare of people in the constituency.
He expressed confidence that the ADC would continue to strengthen its support base ahead of the 2027 elections through unity and sustained engagement with the electorate.
