The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA Jigawa State Command said, it has arrested 577 suspects for various drugs offences and seized 1,944.389 kg of psychoactive substances.
NDLEA state commander Hassan Kabaju Katangana disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the command ‘s achievements in the previous year 2025.
He said out of the 577 suspects arrested 19 are female and 558 are Male.
According to him “The command has arrested 577 suspects also seized 1,944.389 kg of psychoactive substances”
The commander Said, the command secured 136 conviction at the Federal High Court Dutse and 15 cases are still pending.
CN. Kabaju added that, the command has also Counseled 558 including 533 make and 25 female.
He said the arrest is due to the combine efforts of sister security agencies, traditional rulers and the general public.
He commended Jigawa State Government for its efforts in ensuring drugs free society.
CN. Kabaju noted that part of the Challenges the command is facing including, lack of operational vehicles and lack of administrative and operational facilities.
