The Kano State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has announced January 31, 2026, as the date for its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the election of new executive officers.
The decision was taken at the end of a State Executive Council meeting held on Sunday, following the expiration of the tenure of the current executive council.
In a statement issued by the Chapter, a five-member Electoral Committee was constituted to oversee the conduct of the elections during the AGM.
Malam Aminu Hamza was named Chairman of the committee, with Musbahu Aminu Yakasai appointed as Secretary.
Other members of the Electoral Committee include Malam Aminu Inuwa, Professor Mainasara Yakubu Kurfi, and Uba Abdullahi.
The Chapter also disclosed that a 15-member Local Organising Committee (LOC) has been inaugurated to handle arrangements and ensure the smooth conduct of the Annual General Meeting.
The statement added that details on the venue and programme of activities for the AGM will be communicated to members at a later date.
