Ambassador Umaru Damagum has been unanimously confirmed as the substantive National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
His confirmation followed a motion moved by the Chairman of the PDP in Edo State, Hon. Tony Abineri, on behalf of the 3,000 delegates at the party’s 2025 Elective National Convention held on Saturday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan. The motion was seconded by Edward Marshal.
Abineri, while presenting the motion, noted that the ratification complied with Section 32 of the PDP Constitution as amended.
With the unanimous voice vote of delegates, the PDP formally affirmed Damagum as its National Chairman.
